Looking for a few ways to have a better day at no extra cost to yourself? Check out this neat strategy that can give you the extra boost you want and need!
1. Use celebratory interjection
A celebratory interjection is an act of adding feel-good exclamation words to phrases. Wooh! Have you heard anyone say “Friyay”? As silly as it may sound, adding a celebratory injection to words and phrases can improve your mood. Saying “happy Friyay” instead of “happy Friday” adds a little excitement to the otherwise normal saying.
Excitement words like yay, wee, and woo are expressions of joy that can motivate you to make the best out of your day. I add yay to the end of all of my days because I approach every day as a good day! Positive speech is important because it improves many aspects of your life by keeping you motivated and hopeful.
Adding enthusiasm to your words or being grateful (create a gratitude list) for the small things is a way to enforce positive thinking and improve your overall mood.

This suggests that it is in-the-moment positive emotions, and not more general positive evaluations of one’s life, that form the link between happiness and desirable life outcomes.

Your body is breathing and your mind is working for you in many ways. Give it up for yourself! ROUND OF APPLAUSE CHAMP! Saying “thank you” is a form of gratitude. Showing gratitude is a simple way to stay mindful of what’s going well in your life.
Examples of showing gratitude:

Say “thank you” more often. To say “thank you” is to acknowledge that something or someone has done something to benefit you.
